Condition: In a full cloth binding. Externally, generally smart with bumping to the extremities and to the head and tail of spine. Marks to the boards and light rubbing to the joints. Patches of rubbing to the head and tail of spine. Small loss to cloth at joints due to rubbing. Front hinge is slightly strained but firm. Endpapers and frontispiece are loosening slightly. Internally, binding is slightly strained but firm. Scattered spots. Prior owner's pencil markings across inside back covers do not detract from the overall quality of the 160 year old volume!
